The Military Intelligence Directorate stated in a statement that its detachments carried out a qualitative operation, which resulted in the arrest of a dangerous terrorist who worked as the former deputy governor of the Euphrates State called (Abu Safiya al-Iraqi) in the Rumana District affiliated to Anbar Governorate, and who is wanted by the Iraqi judiciary according to the provisions of Article (4 / of Terrorism). It added: "The terrorist participated in many terrorist acts against the Iraqi and Syrian security forces at an earlier time. He was handed over to the requesting party."
