TUBAS: Colonial Israeli settlers backed by the Israeli military prevented Palestinian farmers from plowing their lands today in the village of Atuf, to the east of Tubas town in the northern West Bank, according to local sources and witnesses. Eyewitnesses and local activist Ayman Ghrayeb revealed that a group of settlers hindered several farmers from cultivating their fields in the vicinity of the village. He added that the soldiers accompanying the settlers confiscated personal identification cards from the farmers and detained them for several hours. The incident highlights the ongoing challenges faced by Palestinian farmers in accessing and working on their lands, particularly in areas close to Israeli settlements. Israeli settler violence is commonplace across the occupied West Bank, and is supported and endorsed by the far-right Israeli government. Source: Palestine news and Information Agency – WAFA
