Media Advisor to HM King visits Vatel Bahrain

Media Affairs Advisor to His Majesty the King Nabil bin Yaqub Al-Hamarpaid a visit to Vatel Hospitality and Tourism Business School in Al Jasra.

This visit took place in the presence Tourism Minister Fatima bint Jaffar Al SairafiBahrain Tourism, Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) Chief Executive Officer Dr. Nasser Qaedi and Shaikh Khalid Khalifa Al Khalifa, Vate; Bahrain Director General.

Touring the establishment, Vatel’s curricula, programmes, and accomplishments in terms of education and scientific research were highlighted.

Al Sairafi expressed commended the pivotal role played by the national media in promoting the achievements of the tourism sector, including the dedicated professionals working within the industry.

She highlighted the contribution of Vatel Bahrain to honing students’ skills and expertise, effectively integrating them into Bahrain’s hospitality and tourism sector.

The college aims to attain a remarkable standard of excellence within the hospitality and tourism sector in both Bahrain and the wider region. It plays a pivotal role in positioning the Kingdom as a prominent hub for hospitality and tourism training in the Middle East.

This aligns with the goals outlined in Bahrain’s Tourism Strategy for 2022-2026, which aims to generate high-quality employment opportunities for citizens and attract increased investments in the tourism industry.

During the visit, H.E. Mr. Nabil bin Yaqub Al-Hamar engaged with the foundation year students at the school, actively listening to their experiences and opinions regarding the educational programs provided by the college. Additionally, he discussed the rich history of hospitality in the Kingdom and its significant role in nurturing competencies across Gulf countries.

Al-Hamar emphasized that Kingdom’s legacy of hospitality dates back numerous centuries, noting that the values of hospitality and generosity are deeply cherished national customs and traditions among all Bahrainis.

He added that this cultural aspect serves as a crucial factor in attracting tourists to the Kingdom and enhancing the hospitality and tourism sector.
