Malaysian Foreign Minister Mohammad Hasan and his visiting Bahraini counterpart Abdullatif Al-Zayani Saturday called on the world community to play an essential role in finding a lasting solution to the Palestinian cause. They made the call during a meeting held on the sidelines of Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's visit to Malaysia to attend the inauguration of Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar as the 17th king of Malaysia. During the meeting, both foreign ministers exchanged views on an array of international and regional issues, particularly the latest developments in the Middle East region, the Malaysian Foreign Ministry said in a press release. They underlined concerted efforts to put the two-state solution in place in a bid to deliver the voice of reason and tolerance amid a growingly volatile world, and called for speeding up efforts to attain this goal to ensure freedom, peace and justice, especially in Palestine, it said. The discussion also included bilateral relations and cooperative opportunities in food security, Islmic banking services, communications, tourism and health, it added. Source: Kuwait News Agency
