Lebanon's UN envoy Hadi Hashem confirmed on Wednesday that the Zionist entity's ground invasion will witness a historic defeat as in previous years. Hashem said in a speech during the UN Security Council session to discuss developments in the Middle East: "We have repeatedly warned against the extension of the war due to the persistence of the Zionist entity, and countries must not be afraid to confront this entity." He stressed that Lebanon is witnessing a real catastrophe due to the presence of one million displaced persons inside the country, calling on the international community to intervene urgently to stop the fire and prevent the explosion of the situation in the region. He added: "The Zionist entity is intensifying its aggression and crimes, and we are heading towards an open regional war," stressing: "The situation in Palestine is worsening due to the increase in killing and destruction due to the failure to implement international resolutions."
