Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri received Friday a phone call from US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. During the call, the two sides discussed the latest developments in Lebanon in light of the Israeli escalation. In a related context to the developments of the war on Lebanon, the Lebanese Parliament Speaker condemned the Israeli entity's targeting of civilians, UNIFIL forces, and the Lebanese army. Berri said, in a statement issued by the Parliament, that what happened Thursday and Friday in terms of targeting UNIFIL forces and Lebanese army soldiers by the Israeli entity is a crime and is not only condemned and denounced, but is also an aggression against UN Resolution 1701, calling on the international community to take action to put an end to the war of extermination waged by the Israeli entity against Lebanon and everything related to the rules of ethics, humanity, and international legitimacy.
