Gaza City: Israel is waging war and ethnic cleansing against life in Gaza, according to Doctors Without Borders (MSF). The organization stated that Israel is carrying out ethnic cleansing against all aspects of life in the Gaza Strip, highlighting the prevalence of death as a result of what they describe as indiscriminate and blind retaliation by the Israeli military.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, this declaration was made by Inas Abu Khalaf, the head of the MSF regional media office, in reaction to the Israeli missile attack targeting the Baptist Hospital east of Gaza City early Sunday morning. Abu Khalaf condemned the repeated attacks on Gaza hospitals, rejecting the allegations promoted by the occupation army and stressing that there is no justification for such indiscriminate targeting. She emphasized the protection of hospitals is guaranteed by international humanitarian law.
Abu Khalaf further stated that Israel is disregarding all ethical and humanitarian standards, describing the situation as a “war on all aspects of life in the Gaza Strip,” particularly with the continued closure of the crossings since March 2. Eighteen months after the aggression, Israel resumed its bombing of the Baptist Hospital, targeting the reception and emergency room with two missiles, which completely put the hospital out of service. As a result, patients and the wounded were forced to sleep on the surrounding streets in search of safety.
