KUWAIT, Kuwait Foreign Ministry affirmed on Tuesday its commitment to combat human trafficking, saying that such inhumane acts should be strongly opposed. In recognition of the World Day against Trafficking in Persons, the ministry reaffirmed in a statement on X - formerly known as Twitter- Kuwait's full commitment in combating these inhumane crimes. The statement stressed that the ministry is taking all necessary actions to prevent human trafficking, crimes that violate human rights. According to a resolution in 2013 by the UN General Assembly, July 30 is recognized as the annual International Day against Trafficking in Persons, to fight against human trafficking, raise awareness of the victims as well as advocate for and safeguard their rights.
