WASHINGTON: Democratic candidate Kamala Harris on Wednesday congratulated President-elect Donald Trump on his victory in the elections in a phone call. According to Jordan News Agency, a Harris adviser, who asked not to be named or directly quoted, confirmed that the current vice president discussed with the president-elect the importance of a peaceful transition of power and to be a president for all Americans, stressing that Harris will give a speech in Washington later today, which will be her first after her defeat in the elections. "President Trump thanked Vice President Harris for her determination, professionalism, and perseverance throughout the campaign, and they agreed on the importance of uniting the country," Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung said in a statement.
