Gaza: Urgent calls for desperately needed humanitarian assistance have come from the medical staff at Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza. The hospital, already struggling with the lack of resources, has warned that lives are being lost every day due to the ongoing Israeli blockade on the region. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the region is facing widespread malnutrition and starvation. The hospital's medical team stated that northern Gaza is under a systematic attack, and the healthcare system is on the brink of collapse, leaving them unable to provide the necessary specialized care. The resultant loss of lives is a daily occurrence. Hospital officials have reported that the situation has reached alarming levels. Recent incidents include reports of women and children trapped under rubble in dire conditions and subsequently losing their lives. The staff describes the tragedy as unbearable to witness. There is an emphasis on the failure of the international community to take me aningful action in the face of mounting human suffering. The rising levels of malnutrition, particularly among children and adults, are of grave concern to the hospital. Basic food and medical supplies are depleting rapidly, with the hospital struggling to provide even one meal a day for its staff. The critical shortage of medical supplies further exacerbates the situation. The staff at Kamal Adwan Hospital is calling for immediate international support, urging for the lifting of the Israeli blockade on northern Gaza. They stress that the health and rights of the people are under severe threat and that the survival of many depends on the prompt delivery of life-saving resources.
