The region has been under severe Israeli aggression for more than 14 months, creating a dire humanitarian crisis. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Safadi made this plea during his address at the Ministerial Conference in Cairo, which aimed to enhance the humanitarian response in Gaza. The event saw the participation of 103 delegations, including states and international organizations. He called on the global community to exert pressure on Israel to allow humanitarian aid into the reg ion, emphasizing Jordan's efforts to facilitate the entry of aid. Safadi also urged for immediate action to ensure the United Nations can effectively distribute aid within the Strip. In his address, Safadi outlined Jordan's plan to assess and deliver necessary humanitarian aid, which includes a call for at least 250 trucks of supplies to be sent daily to Gaza. He also voiced concerns over the attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank by colonists, warning that such actions could lead to increased destruction and extremism. Furthermore, Safadi reiterated that the two-state solution remains the only feasible path to peace, lamenting the lack of substantial progress towards its implementation.
