Jerusalem Governorate: Al-Aqsa is in danger and the world must intervene immediately to stop the occupation’s crimes

Jerusalem - Ma'an - The Jerusalem Governorate announced in a statement on Monday, September 9, 2024, that the Israeli occupation measures in Jerusalem and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and at its gates, tightening the noose and placing obstacles to prevent access to it, and providing full cover for extremists to impose a new reality in it by allowing the performance of Talmudic rituals, epic collective prostration, blowing the trumpet, and the continuous incursions, singing, dancing, and raising Zionist flags are nothing but a prelude to dividing Al-Aqsa Mosque spatially and must be taken seriously and with extreme danger. The governor added: The statements of some occupation leaders and their claim that "the occupation state is committed to the historical and legal status of Al-Aqsa Mosque" are nothing but lies and a smokescreen. The entire world must be aware of the true intentions of the extreme right regarding our holy sites, especially the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. We remind everyone in this regard that Al- Aqsa has always been the main turning point in the course of events in the entire region. The Jerusalem Governorate stressed that despite the extent of the Israeli aggression against our people, including killing, arrest, demolition, destruction, prevention, deportation, house arrest, and racist persecution, in all Palestinian territories, and the ongoing terrorist attempts to silence us and prevent us from defending our holy sites and protecting Al-Aqsa Mosque, these are nothing but failed and miserable attempts. Our people's connection to Jerusalem and its holy sites is a divine connection, and the inevitability of protecting it is an individual obligation on every Muslim on the face of the earth. The governorate added in its statement, addressing its appeal to all Islamic countries, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the Arab League, that the situation now in Al-Aqsa Mosque is not as it was, but rather everyone must turn to protecting Al-Aqsa and curbing all the attacks and crimes of the extrem e right-wing Israeli government against it. In its statement, the governorate held the occupation government responsible for the consequences and repercussions of the situation in Jerusalem and the region, as a result of the ongoing threats and hostile acts against the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the holy sites in Jerusalem. The governorate saluted our Palestinian people in all Palestinian governorates, cities and towns, especially our steadfast people in the occupied capital, who are steadfast and besieged, and whom the Zionist occupation is trying to prevent from reaching Al-Aqsa Mosque, praying in it and defending it.
