Israel’s Severing of Ties with UNRWA Condemned by Palestinian Presidential Spokesman.

Ramallah: Presidential Spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh stated that the Israeli occupation government's decision to officially inform the United Nations of its severance of relations with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) is an act of disregard for international norms, charters, resolutions, and international humanitarian law. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Abu Rudeineh emphasized that Israel's actions are aimed at undermining the refugee issue, abolishing the right of return, and hindering the activities and role of UNRWA. He urged the global community to take substantial and concrete actions against Israel, holding its government accountable for the potential grave consequences of this decision. Abu Rudeineh also condemned the recent attack by colonists on the city of Al-Bireh, which resulted in the burning of approximately 20 civilian vehicles. He asserted that these actions and crimes by what he termed terrorist colonist mi litias are outcomes of the ongoing aggression waged by the Israeli occupation state against the Palestinian people, their sanctities, and their properties. He attributed shared responsibility for these acts to both the Israeli government and the United States. The spokesman called upon the international community to exert pressure on Israel to halt its measures and violations against Palestinians, insisting that Israel comply with all agreements signed. Additionally, he highlighted that the legalization of colonial outposts in the West Bank and the advancement of plans for new colonial units are part of a broader campaign by the Israeli occupation state against the Palestinian people, their land, and their holy sites.
