Israeli Forces Continue Aggression on Jenin for Second Consecutive Day

Jenin: Israeli forces continue the aggression for the second day in a row. The Israeli occupation forces are persisting with their operations in the city of Jenin and its camp, marking the second consecutive day of intensity in the area.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the occupation forces have detained wounded youth Ashraf Bahr along with his father and brother from the Jenin camp. They have also seized a house, transforming it into a concentration point in Khallet al-Sawha. At dawn on Wednesday, bulldozers began demolishing a street and the entrance to Jenin Governmental Hospital, blocking its access with earth mounds. The surroundings of Ibn Sina Hospital have also been bulldozed, and streets in the city and around the camp have been destroyed. Snipers have occupied rooftops of residential buildings overlooking Jenin camp, maintaining the closure of its entrances and restricting residents' movement.

Wissam Bakr, the director of Jenin Hospital, reported that the occupation vehicles have obstructed the main street in front of the hospital entrance, complicating access for both vehicles and medical personnel. He emphasized the potential impact of this closure on patient transport via ambulances, noting that the Red Cross has been informed about these developments.

The occupation forces have continued to deploy additional military reinforcements to Jenin and its camp entrances into the early morning hours. The escalation began with an unprecedented storming of the city and camp, accompanied by military bulldozers and aerial surveillance from drones and warplanes. The first day of aggression resulted in 10 fatalities and nearly 40 injuries. The occupation army announced the commencement of the aggression amidst warnings from government ministers to intensify actions in the West Bank.
