Post: Five Palestinians Injured in Colonists’ Attack in Masafer Yatta

Masafer Yatta: Five Palestinians were injured on Wednesday and others fainted after they were attacked by extremist Israeli colonists in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, activist Osama Makhamreh reported that dozens of colonists attacked residents in Khirbet Aqwawis in Masafer Yatta. The colonists assaulted them and sprayed tear gas in their faces, leading to the injury of an elderly man. Several young men sustained injuries, fractures, and bruises due to the attack and were transported by ambulance crews to the hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, a number of other residents fainted after being sprayed with poisonous pepper gas by the colonists, and they received treatment in the field. Makhamreh noted that the colonists have recently escalated their attacks on Palestinians and their properties in Masafer Yatta. These attacks include assaulting residents' homes and sheep pens, chasing shepherds and farmers, and using force to prevent them from reaching their fields and pastures. This is seen as an attempt to forcibly displace them from the area in favor of colonial expansion.
