Israeli forces raid southern West Bank town

BETHLEHEM: Israeli occupation forces Saturday evening raided al-Khader town, south of the occupied West Bank city of Bethlehem, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said that the occupation forces barged their way into the town and deployed in the vicinity of the mosque and al-Bawaba area, simultaneously while firing barrages of concussion grenades and tear gas canisters.

He added that the soldiers deliberately fired tear gas canisters inside several stores, causing material damage.

Meanwhile, the occupation forces stormed Ya’bad town, southwest of Jenin, in the northern West Bank, simultaneously while opening gunfire, triggering confrontations.

There was no immediate information on any casualties in any of the raids.

The occupation forces frequently conduct raids daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for ‘wanted’ Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its swe
eping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
