Jenin: Israeli occupation forces continued their assault on the city of Jenin and its refugee camp for over 20 hours as of Tuesday evening, causing significant damage to infrastructure and leaving at least nine Palestinians injured. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the ongoing military assault resulted in injuries to nine individuals, including gunshot wounds from live ammunition and shrapnel from an Israeli drone-launched missile. The assault also caused widespread destruction to the city's infrastructure, leaving large parts of Jenin and the refugee camp without electricity and water. The Red Crescent reported that one of their medical teams was used as a human shield by Israeli forces, who detained the team inside a home in the eastern neighborhood of Jenin while they were attempting to provide aid. The medical team treated a 20-year-old man who was shot in the shoulder and four other individuals with live bullet wounds. In addition, four more Palestinians were injured by sh rapnel from a missile fired by an Israeli drone, targeting civilians in the same area. The Red Crescent also reported that their emergency services faced obstacles in carrying out their work, with one of their teams detained while trying to transport a wounded person from the Jenin refugee camp. As part of the assault, Israeli forces set fire to three homes and a commercial shop in the camp. Local civil defense teams, hindered by the Israeli military's restrictions, managed to extinguish the flames in two of the homes, but were unable to contain the fire in the third. The destruction also extended to vital infrastructure, including the cutting of electricity and water lines to several areas of the camp, following the demolition of streets and other facilities.
