Hebron: Israeli occupation forces on Monday briefly detained and attacked a Palestinian activist and his son following a raid on their home in the Old City of Hebron. The incident has raised concerns over the treatment of Palestinian activists in the region. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the activist, Aref Jaber, and his son, Amir, were held by Israeli soldiers for four hours upon returning to their home in the Jaber neighborhood. During this detention period, both were subjected to physical assault before being released. Following his release, Aref Jaber reported that the severity of the physical assault warranted medical attention for his son, Amir, who was taken to the hospital immediately after their release. This incident highlights the ongoing tensions and violence faced by Palestinian families living under occupation. Local sources have further reported that the Jaber family, alongside other families residing in Hebron's Old City and its neighborhoods, are frequently sub jected to systematic harassment by Israeli forces. This pattern of behavior contributes to the increasing strain between the local Palestinian communities and the Israeli military presence.
