BETHLEHEM: Israeli colonists today brutally assaulted a Palestinian man in the village of Jourat al-Shamaa, south of Bethlehem, and cut off grape trees. Tariq Al-Fawaghra, 60, who is the head of the Agricultural Cooperative Society for the Villages of the Southern Countryside in Bethlehem Governorate, said that a group of Israeli colonists brutally assaulted him while he was with his two sons on his land in the Beit Suir area, adjacent to the illegal colony of Alon Shivot. The colonists further cut off multiple grape trees and destroyed other quantity of fruits. Al-Fawaghra added that the colonists threatened him that if he returned to his 40-dunums of land, they would attack him again and burn his agricultural tractor.
