Israeli colonists Friday have cut down dozens of olive trees in the village of Jaba', south of Jenin, according to a local official. Abbas Ghannam, head of the Jaba' village council, told WAFA that colonists from the illegal Homesh colony, destroyed dozens of olive trees in the southern part of the village, which belong to his family. The colony Homesh has become a base for colonists' attacks on residents, their land, homes and property since the Israeli government's decision last year to permit colonists to return to the colony, which was evacuated in 2005.
