HEBRON: A 13-year-old Palestinian boy was assaulted by a group of Israeli colonists in the Tel Rmeida neighborhood in the center of Hebron, south of the occupied West Bank. The incident has sparked outrage in the local community as tensions continue to escalate in the region. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the attack occurred when Mohammad Rajab Abu Markhiya was on his way to visit his grandmother. Yasser Abu Markhiya, a local activist, reported that the colonists severely beat the boy, resulting in multiple bruises. Following the attack, Mohammad was immediately taken to the Hebron Governmental Hospital for treatment. The Tel Rmeida area has been a frequent site of such incidents, with residents often subjected to violence from Israeli colonists, particularly those from the illegal Ramat Yishai outpost. These assaults compound the difficulties faced by Palestinians in the region, who also endure military occupation measures like severe movement restrictions, house raids, and str eet closures.
