Colonists and Israeli occupation soldiers attacked Palestinian shepherds on Monday evening in the town of Taqou, southeast of Bethlehem, according to security sources. Sources told WAFA that Israeli colonists and soldiers attacked herders while they were grazing their sheep in lands located near the colony of Tekoa, which was illegally built on Palestinian citizens' lands. Forces beat up herders and attacked them with stun grenades and tear gas canisters, before detaining a young man. Colonists and the occupation forces have recently escalated their attacks on sheepherders in the area, including the seizure of sheep, imposition of financial fines and the prevention of herders' access to pastures.
