Israeli Forces Detain 35 Palestinians from West Bank

Nablus: Israeli occupation forces detained at least 35 people, including former detainees and siblings, in the occupied West Bank during the last 24 hours. The detentions were part of a series of operations conducted by the Israeli forces.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Detainees and Ex-Detainees Commission along with the Palestinian Prisoner's Society reported in a joint statement that the recent detention operations were primarily focused in the cities of Nablus, Salfit, Jenin, Tulkarm, and Hebron. These operations involved widespread raids accompanied by abuse, assaults, and threats against the detainees and their families. Additionally, there were reports of vandalism and destruction of citizens' homes during these raids.

The statement highlighted ongoing field investigations conducted by the occupation forces, where dozens of citizens were detained for hours before being released. This pattern of detention and release has been noted in several towns across the West Bank.

The Palestinian Prisoner's Society and the Detainees and Ex-Detainees Commission emphasized that the total number of Palestinians detained in the occupied West Bank since October 7th has exceeded 11,000. This number includes individuals detained from their homes, at military checkpoints, those who surrendered under pressure, and those taken hostage.
