Israeli Airstrike in Gaza’s Jabalia Town Results in Multiple Civilian Casualties

GAZA CITY: Several civilians were killed and others were injured on Monday evening following an Israeli airstrike on the town of Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, medical sources reported that the airstrike resulted in the deaths of four civilians and injuries to others when Israeli warplanes targeted a group of citizens in Jabalia. Additionally, Israeli warplanes bombed a house near the Jordanian Hospital in the Al-Sabra neighborhood, located south of Gaza City.

The ongoing conflict, which has seen Israeli forces conducting operations by land, sea, and air against the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has led to a significant human toll. Reports indicate that 45,541 civilians have been killed, with the majority being women and children, while 108,338 others have sustained injuries.

The full extent of the casualties remains unknown, as many victims are still trapped under the rubble or are unreachable due to the continuous shelling and the sheer volume of debris, hampering the efforts of ambulance and rescue crews.
