IEC Publishes Final Voter Lists for 2024 Parliamentary Elections

Amman: The Independent Election Commission (IEC) on Wednesday released the final voter rolls on its official website. This publication follows the completion of all verification and adjudication processes, including the resolution of objections and court rulings, as mandated by Paragraph (G) of Article (4) of the Election Law for the Lower House of Parliament of No. 4 of 2022. According to the IEC, the total number of registered voters stands at 5,115,219, with 2,425,293 males (47.4%) and 2,689,926 females (52.5%). First-time voters total 590,794, representing 11.54% of the electorate. The data also reveals that voters under 25 years old number 1,119,832, accounting for 21.89% of the total, while those under 35 years old total 2,323,478, or 45.4% of the electorate. Voters can verify their electoral information including polling station, ballot box number, and location map via the IEC hotline (117100), the IEC website (www.iec.jo), the SMS service, the toll-free number (94455), main election committee offi ces, and various media outlets.
