RAMALLAH: The Palestinain Civil Defense (PCD) warned Palestinians against three successive cold, low-pressure fronts that will gradually deepen, starting Thursday evening, and continuing until the end of next week. In a statement issued based on Palestinian meteorological data, PCD called for the necessity of taking all precautionary measures, especially with the expected heavy rains, the risk of torrential rains, and low horizontal visibility. In the statement, PCD advised citizens to inspect and clean water drains, install everything that is volatile to deal with the intensity of the wind speed, and safely use all types of heaters inside homes, and not leave them on when sleeping, regulate movement on open streets, and inspect vehicles and drive at the appropriate speed for fear of slipping. PCD also called on those living in tents and Bedouin camps to take all preventive measures to deal with this weather condition, warning of collapses as a result of weak streets and walls that suffer from defective in frastructure. The Civil Defense called on Palestinian citizens to report any emergency to the following numbers: Civil Defense 102, Police 100, and Red Crescent 101.
