The Iraqi National Security Service detachments arrested the killers of a lawyer in Baghdad. The INSS said in a statement that it had received information that there was a body inside a building in Al-Atifiyah area in the capital, Baghdad, belonging to the victim, lawyer (Ahmed Abbas Kazem), who was killed inside his office by gunfire from a pistol. It added that "after obtaining judicial approvals from the judge of the Third Karkh Investigation Court, the follow-up and search process took place, where a working team was formed to follow the perpetrator's route after identifying him and the vehicle he was riding, and after field and intelligence efforts, his location was reached and he was arrested with his son, and found in their possession the murder weapon and another weapon." The statements of the accused were recorded and they were referred to the competent judicial authorities to take legal measures against them in accordance with the law.
