Occupation Forces Begin Bulldozing Land East of Qalqilya

Qalqilya: Israeli occupation forces began bulldozing land in the village of Kafr Laqif, east of Qalqilya, on Tuesday.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the head of the village council, Yasser Mara'ba, reported that Israeli bulldozers stormed the main entrance to the village and started clearing an area of land measuring 60 meters wide north of the Qalqilya-Nablus road, known locally as Route 55.

The bulldozing activity is said to follow a decision made approximately two weeks ago to seize 106 dunams of land from Kafr Laqif and the nearby town of Azzun. The justification given for this seizure was its necessity for military purposes. Landowners were provided with a one-week period to object to the decision, but the occupation forces commenced bulldozing immediately after the objection period ended.
