RAMALLAH: Minister of Health Mai Alkaila has called for an international investigation into reports that Israeli occupation forces buried Palestinians alive in the courtyard of Kamal Adwan Hospital during the ongoing ground offensive in northern Gaza. In a press statement this evening, Alkaila stated that information and testimonies from eyewitnesses, medical teams, and the media indicate that the occupation forces buried Palestinians alive in the hospital courtyard. Some of them were reportedly seen alive before being besieged by the Israeli tanks. She urged the international community to take serious action to uncover the details of this tragedy and not to ignore or remain silent about reports of war crimes coming from the Gaza Strip. Further, Alkaila explained that the occupation forces deliberately removed the wounded from Kamal Adwan Hospital into the open in extremely cold weather and assaulted medical staff, posing a serious threat to the lives of the wounded and patients. She pointed out that the Israeli army destroyed the southern part of the hospital, and 12 infants are still inside the incubators in the hospital without water or food. The Israeli army has reportedly prevented their evacuation, according to medical staff testimonies. Source: Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA
