Hasan al-Saadi officially took over as Minister of Education and Scientific Research on Tuesday, succeeding former Minister of Higher Education Hussein Hazeb. During the ceremony, al-Saadi awarded Hazeb the Loyalty Shield, recognizing his efforts in advancing higher education, academic accreditation, and establishing new universities. Al-Saadi emphasized the importance of teamwork and the continuation of development efforts within the ministry, stressing that the integration of ministries is a transformative process aimed at improving the education sector. Hazeb expressed confidence in al-Saadi's leadership and highlighted the achievements made during his tenure, including the establishment of several universities and the enhancement of academic standards.
