The critically injured face the risk of mortality with Israeli occupation forces blocking paramedics from transferring them to hospitals, said Director of Ambulance and Emergency Department in northern Gaza Strip on Tuesday. Fares Afana told Qatar News Agency that the Israeli occupation is obstructing roads linking Gaza and North Gaza governorates, thwarting ambulances' efforts to transfer the wounded to Al Maamadani Baptist Hospital. The occupation forces have been besieging Jabalia camp for two days and targeting anyone trying to leave it towards Gaza City, yet, ambulances perilously took the only available road to transport the critically injured, he said. Afana slammed the International Red Cross's inaction since the beginning of the war on Gaza a year ago, urging international agencies to intervene to open a safe passage to transport the injured.
