French President Emmanuel Macron announced that France will supply Ukraine with its Mirage fighter jets. Macron said in an interview with French public radio that he will announce today, Friday, "new cooperation with Ukraine and the sale of the French-made Mirage fighter jet that will allow Ukraine to protect its territory and airspace." He added that France would also begin training Ukrainian pilots. He reiterated that Ukraine should be allowed to use weapons provided by its Western allies to target Russian military targets and "neutralize the points from which they are being attacked." Macron also said that Ukraine faced a "major challenge" in training soldiers as it sought to mobilize tens of thousands of additional troops to the front, noting that France would equip and train an entire brigade of 4,500 Ukrainian soldiers.
