Minister of Finance Abduljabbar Mohammed on Sunday met with Executive Director of the General Company for Potato Seed Production and Multiplication Hamdan al-Akwa'a In the meeting, Mohammed and al-Akwa'a discussed the company's pivotal role in agricultural development. The meeting focused on the company's recent advancements, including its production development program and laboratory innovations. The discussion highlighted the company's efforts to improve various potato varieties and explore the feasibility of expanding into other vegetables and fruits. Minister Mohammed emphasized the importance of the company in enhancing agricultural development by improving seed quality and reducing production costs. He stressed the need for automation and modern infrastructure to boost performance and financial management. The Minister instructed the Economic Units Sector to collaborate with the company on governance and expansion plans, aligning with the Government of Change and Construction's focus on advancing the agricultural sector. The Ministry of Finance committed to supporting the company with technical expertise and systems for automation. For his part, al-Akwa'a reported that the company has achieved self-sufficiency in potato seed production, thanks to new technologies and supportive collaboration with the Agricultural Committee and relevant ministries.
