Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is "the main person responsible for the genocide committed against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip" The Turkish Minister stressed during a joint press conference held by Fidan with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of North Macedonia, Temko Mokonski, following talks between them today in Skopje that "the brutality in Gaza is still ongoing, and the tension has spread to the West Bank and the provocations targeting Al-Aqsa Mosque have further exacerbated the situation." Fidan explained that "the main person responsible for the genocide committed in Gaza is Netanyahu himself, as he continues to spread death and terror in order to remain in power, and sabotages all initiatives aimed at a ceasefire." He stressed that the Israeli Prime Minister "continues to disrupt the ceasefire negotiations by constantly putting forward new conditions, and even the Israeli public opinion has begun to protest against Netanyah u." The Turkish Foreign Minister pointed out the need for the international community to act to stop Netanyahu, stressing that "silence on the massacre is equivalent to complicity in this crime." The ceasefire negotiations in Gaza have reached a critical stage, due to Netanyahu's insistence on continuing the war on the Strip, and not withdrawing from the Netzarim and Philadelphi axes in the center and south of the Strip, while Hamas insists on ending the war, returning the displaced, and withdrawing from the entire Strip. The opposition and the families of prisoners in Israel accuse Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of placing obstacles in the way of concluding an agreement through negotiations mediated by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States, for fear of the disintegration of his ruling coalition and losing his position; as far-right ministers threaten to withdraw from the government and bring it down if it accepts an agreement that includes a cessation of the war.
