Diyala Electricity Distribution Directorate denied the news circulating about the storming of the directorate building by a political party. The directorate's media stated in a statement: "The news that was circulated on social media is incorrect," stressing that no political party or armed force tried to storm the headquarters of the Diyala Electricity Distribution Branch or any of its departments. Some local media outlets had quoted an informed source earlier today that "members of the Diyala Provincial Council, with their bodyguards, stormed the Diyala Electricity Directorate building and threatened the director of the department and employees and forced the director of Diyala Electricity to dismiss the director of Khalis sector electricity by force."
