The Deputy Governor of Taiz for Development Affairs, Abdul-Wasie Al-Shamsi, accompanied by the Director of the Development Team Office in the Governorate, Muhammad Labib, inspected today the extent of damage to agricultural lands due to floods and heavy rains in Al-Mashjab district in Al-Salw District. During the inspection, Deputy Shamsi indicated that the visit comes in implementation of the directives of the leadership of the local authority in the governorate, to assess the damage to agricultural lands due to floods and as a result of the interventions of some citizens. He stressed that communication has been made with the security authorities in Al-Salw and Haifan districts, and coordination has been made with them to prevent and stop the perpetrators, and take legal measures against them. The governor's deputy stated that the people who caused the flood damage and agricultural lands to double will be arrested and held accountable, in addition to working to rehabilitate the lands to make them suitable for agriculture.
