Deputy Prime Minister and head of the Presidential Committee to Confront Flood Damage Hussein Maqbouli on Sunday initiated the distribution of 1,000 food and shelter baskets to flood victims and displaced persons in Hodeida. The distribution included al-Minda, al-Hawak, al-Hali districts in Hodeida. The aid, provided by the Yemeni Red Crescent Society in collaboration with the Humanitarian Affairs Council, aims to alleviate the suffering caused by recent torrential rains. Maqbouli commended the Red Crescent and the Humanitarian Affairs Council for their swift response and ongoing humanitarian efforts. He emphasized the committee's commitment to expanding relief operations to all flood-affected areas in Hodeida, including the distribution of cash assistance to victims in southern districts.
