Toronto - Ma'an - The Canadian city of Toronto witnessed a demonstration today, Saturday, in which hundreds of members of the Palestinian and Arab communities and those in solidarity participated on the first anniversary of the war of extermination waged by the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip, and in condemnation of the occupation's crimes in the West Bank and Lebanon. The demonstrators chanted slogans such as: 'Stop killing our children,' 'Oh Gaza, don't cry because we will not let you down,' 'Stop arming Israel,' and 'If we do not get justice, you will not enjoy peace.' The demonstration, which started from one of Toronto's most vibrant squares, called on Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to stop supporting the arming of Israel and to recognize the Palestinian state. The speakers said that a year after the genocide, the world is unable to hold Israel accountable for its crimes, and is even continuing to support it to continue its war and supply it with weapons under the pretext of the right to self-defense. The demonstration took place peacefully as planned, without any interference from the police, who were present in large numbers at the scene. Source: Maan News Agency
