A training course in the field of coffee tasting was concluded today,Thursday, in Sana'a, as part of a training, introductory and cultural program for specialty coffee. The course, which was organized over two days by the Coffee Unit of the Supreme Agricultural and Fisheries Committee, aimed to train 10 young male and female trainees interested in the field of coffee, and to provide them with skills about coffee and distinguishing its varieties and types. At the end, Agriculture and Irrigation Minister in the caretaker government, Engineer Abdul-Malik Al-Thawr, pointed out the importance of such courses, which serve the coffee sector and contribute to strengthening programs and activities to develop , improve the productivity and quality of Yemeni coffee. He stressed that Yemeni coffee belongs to the "class of Arabic coffee", and is one of the finest types of coffee in the world, and occupies the first places in terms of quality, pointing out the importance of preserving the characteristics and atmosphere of authentic Yemeni coffee as part of adhering to identity at the national level. For his part, the official of the coffee unit in the Supreme Agricultural and Fisheries Committee, Muhammad Al-Qasimi, indicated that the course is the first in a training, introductory and cultural program for specialty coffee, which includes training courses for young cadres. Al Qasimi pointed out that there are courses in qualifying trainees on how to prepare and prepare coffee, and the required standards, to keep pace with the highest international standards, and to prepare the trainees and qualify them to be ready to work at home and abroad.
