RAMALLAH: Last night, dozens of Israeli colonists launched an assault on the village of Umm Safa, located northwest of Ramallah. The attackers fired live ammunition at the homes of local residents. Marwan Sabbah, the head of the Umm Safa Village Council, told WAFA that the colonists targeted the village and assaulted residents' homes with live fire, all under the protection of Israeli military forces. Sabbah also noted that two young men sustained bruises and fractures while trying to escape the targeted area. They were subsequently taken to a hospital for treatment. The Israeli violence against Umm Safa has intensified following the outbreak of the Israeli aggression on Gaza. The village is currently facing land confiscations, demolition orders for homes, and aggressive land clearing activities by colonists. In June of last year, colonists launched a large-scale attack on the village, setting fire to homes and vehicles with the support of Israeli forces.
