Amman: Colombian President Gustavo Petro Saturday announced that Colombia would stop its coal exports to Israel amid an ongoing war in Gaza. Petro wrote in a blog post on the X platform: "We will suspend coal exports to Israel until it stops the genocide." He announced in May the severing of diplomatic ties with Israel after accusing the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of "committing genocide" against the Palestinians.
