Colombia beat Uruguay 1-0 in the semi-final of 2024 Copa America and would meet defending champions Argentina in the final. In a clash at the Bank of America Stadium, Colombia's Jefferson Lerma scored his country's sole goal in the 39th minute and the team never look back until the final whistle. Uruguay looked determined to level the score in the second half especially after Colombia's Daniel Munoz was sent off in the 46th minute, but all bids were fruitless.
