A team from the local authority in Sana'a province inspected a number of community initiative projects under implementation in Nehm District. The team, which included the Directors of Agriculture and Irrigation, Engineer Ali Al-Qairi, the Initiatives Director, Engineer Muhammad Al-Nazari, the Directorate, Abdul Wali Sarhan, the Technical Director of the Agricultural Finance Unit, Engineer Abdul Rahman Al-Asadi, and the head of the Northern Sector Agricultural Cooperative Society, Fayez Saree, was briefed on the progress of work in maintaining Al-Marta - Bani Faraj - Al-Majawha road along the 20 kms length and four meters wide, worth 56 million and 500 thousand riyals, including 15 million community contributions and 41 million and 500 thousand riyals from the province. It visited stalled Al-Hadha Dam project, as a result of the aggression and siege, in which the completion rate reached 30%, and it is hoped that it will serve more than 15 of its neighboring villages. The team recommended accelerating the r eclamation of agricultural lands as part of a community initiative, with the local authority in the province, represented by the Agricultural Finance Unit, contributing 67% of the cost to support farmers in this. It stressed the keenness of the province leadership to support people's efforts and provide the available capabilities to implement community initiatives, especially roads, stressing the necessity of activating community initiatives to advance local development and revive the values of solidarity among society.
