Canceling decisions to evict 3 families from the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem

Jerusalem_Together - Today, Thursday, the Israeli Supreme Court approved the appeal submitted by 3 families of Sheikh Jarrah, against the decision to evict them from their homes in the neighborhood in favor of settlers. The Sheikh Jarrah Neighborhood Committee (Karam Al-Jaouni) explained that the Supreme Court canceled orders to evacuate the Hammad, Al-Dajani and Al-Dahoudi families from the units of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem. The families' lawyer, Mr. Saleh Abu Hussein and Dr. Sami Irshaid, filed an appeal against the decision to evict the families issued by the Central Court in 2021, and a session was recently held to consider the appeal. The committee indicated that the team of lawyers was able to cancel the displacement decisions for the families of Al-Salaymeh, Al-Zein, Al-Mani, Al-Kurd, Al-Qasim, Iskafi, and Al-Jaouni.
