Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governor Laila Ghannam informed a delegation from the British and Canadian consulates about the impacts of Israeli colonists' attacks on Palestinian citizens and their lands in the village of Umm Safa, northwest of Ramallah. This took place during a field visit conducted by the British and Canadian delegation today, accompanied by Governor Ghannam. The tour included the main entrances to the village, which have been closed off by Israeli occupation authorities, as well as the lands of Jabal al-Ras where colonists continue to uproot and pave roads. The visit also included Um Safa Secondary Mixed School. The delegation engaged with residents and students in Umm Safa, hearing firsthand accounts of the attacks, which included assaults on the school and homes, persistent efforts to seize land and construct roads within the village, as well as the establishment of tents on Jabal al-Ras, which are used as a base for launching assaults on residents. Ghannam urged Britain, Canada, and all coun tries witnessing the suffering of the Palestinian people to adopt a definitive stance against these crimes, rather than merely issuing reports and statements of condemnation. Ghannam stressed that a single colonist had taken over lands owned by Palestinian citizens in Jabal al-Ras, turning the lives of an entire village into a living hell under the protection of Israeli forces.
