The Baghdad Operations Command proceeded to fill in a number of unlicensed lakes in areas south of Baghdad. The command stated in a statement: "The security forces continued to implement their campaigns to fill in and break the shoulders of fish lakes and remove violations of water quotas allocated for irrigating crops, as a force from the 17th Infantry Division, in cooperation with the (Water Resources, Radwaniyah Irrigation) detachments, carried out the duties of removing violations of the water transfer pipe and filling in a number of unlicensed fish lakes in the areas of "Albu Amer and Albu Mufrej" south of Baghdad.
