Amman: Belgian Prime Minister Alexander de Croo said that Belgium's King Philippe has accepted his resignation after his party, the Open Flemish Liberals and Democrats, suffered a heavy loss in Sunday's European elections. "The current government will manage current affairs and prepare the transition to a new team," de Croo said Tuesday in a post on his X account. De Croo will remain interim prime minister until a new coalition is formed. "I would like to sincerely thank our voters and fighters. The election results are a disappointment, and I take responsibility for that," he added in his post. .
