Detachments of the Baghdad Al-Rusafa Police Command carried out a security operation to search for suspicious and unlicensed places. The Command stated in a statement that the Command forces represented by (Bab al-Sheikh Police Department and Station, the SWAT Command Company, and the Fifth Rusafa Emergency Regiment), in cooperation with other security services, carried out a wide campaign to search for suspicious and unlicensed places in the areas of (Al-Fadhel, Al-Sadria, and Fadwat Arab). Two halls used for gambling were seized and their owners were arrested, and commercial shops selling alcoholic beverages inside shops and residential areas were seized, unlicensed and in violation of legal instructions, while (12) suspected persons were arrested, to be placed in detention to complete the legal procedures against them.
