The Ministry of Interior announced today, Monday, the arrest of 6 wanted persons for various legal matters in Babylon Governorate. The Ministry said in a statement: "The Babylon Governorate Police Command, as part of its efforts to enhance security and stability in the governorate, carried out a large-scale security campaign in Al-Mahawil Police Department sector, in cooperation with other security services, which included all areas of the sector north of the governorate. The campaign resulted in the arrest of 3 wanted persons, and the monitoring and recording of 78 traffic violations." In separate operations, according to the statement, the checkpoints affairs department detachments, in cooperation with other security agencies, were able to arrest 3 wanted persons according to different legal articles during their operations at the main checkpoints in the governorate. Three suspects were also arrested in possession of narcotics and various drug paraphernalia, in addition to arresting 3 foreigners for viola ting residency conditions.
