Post: Foreign Minister: President Instructs Immediate Action Plan Following Two-State Conference

Gaza: Foreign Minister Varsen Aghabekian announced on Saturday that President Mahmoud Abbas has instructed the immediate development of an action plan to implement the outcomes of the recent High-Level International Conference on the Two-State Solution, held in New York.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Aghabekian emphasized the importance of the conference, highlighting its political significance and its reflection of the growing international consensus on the necessity of achieving a two-state solution. She indicated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would spearhead the creation of a comprehensive strategy to apply the conference's recommendations.

Aghabekian pointed out that 149 countries currently recognize the State of Palestine, with expectations of more joining due to ongoing Palestinian diplomatic efforts. She also lauded Slovenia's decision to halt arms trade with Israel, viewing it as a 'courageous and advanced step' that delivers a strong message against Israel's violations of international law.

She encouraged other European countries to adopt similar measures, advocating for a firm stance in support of Palestinian rights and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
